Ciera believes theatre is a holy ground where there is room for hope, magic, and explosive creation. Naturally, she is committed to developing new works. Whether with her writing partner as Miller & Harlow or with playwrights crafting new worlds. She seeks work that is haunting, hopeful, a little magical, and tackles the human condition. Lately she has been gravitating towards stories highlighting and examining female rage.

She was a 2023 Jonathan Larson Grant Honorable Mention alongside her writing partner, Emma Harlow. Recently she worked as Assistant Director for the Hadestown 2nd National Tour, directed by Keenan Tyler Oliphant, she looks forward to continuing as Associate Director this fall. In rehearsal and in life she makes it a priority to be present, curious, and kind.

You can usually find her on loitering at a bookstore, co-working with her fiercely fantastic friends, or climbing fake rocks indoors.

Ciera Miller is a NYC based director & co writer.

She is a self described ‘stubborn hopeful ' - someone who fights to make the impossible probable with joy.
