Ciera Miller is a California born director with a degree in Theatre Arts living in NYC.
She is a self described ‘stubborn hopeful ' - someone who fights to make the impossible probable with joy.
Ciera believes theatre is a holy ground where there is room for hope, magic, and explosive creation. Naturally, she is committed to developing new works. Whether with her writing partner as Miller & Harlow or as Producing Artistic Director for In Confidence LLC her fascination with the human condition, and why anyone would care to see it onstage, motivates her warm, hilarious, and occasionally haunting work.
She has a passion for developing stories and was a 2023 Johnathan Larson Grant Honorable Mention alongside her writing partner, Emma Harlow. Recently she worked as Assistant Director for the Hadestown 2nd National Tour, directed by Keenan Tyler Oliphant. In rehearsal and in life she makes it a priority to be present, curious and kind - she finds it helps bring out the best in others.
You can usually find her on long walks, co-working with her fiercely fantastic friends, or climbing fake rocks indoors.
